WAGs, Role Models?
Experts are now saying young girls, should look up to WAGs as role models.
Am I hearing this right…..WAGs role models. Apparently this is correct according to some education experts, who say these girls are well educated, probably more so than their footballer partners.
It is thought too many teenage girls envy WAGs glamorous lifestyles without realising that a lot of them have worked to build their own careers first.
Education experts are determined to encourage young girls to stay in education, research into WAG backgrounds showed nine out of ten had five good GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
Some of our favourite WAGs are very clever you know….
Charlotte Mears fiancee of Jermain Defoe has three A levels. Lisa Roughhead wife of Michael Carrick has a business degree and Melanie Slade girlfriend of Theo Walcott has three A levels and is planning to go to university.
Well we certainly look up to you girls, especially when you’ve bought a fabulous new pair of shoes!

I agree that to say that all WAGs are role models is nonsense but some are smart women who just happen to have snagged a footballerfor a partner.
I think Carly Zucker is a pretty good example to young women - smart, employed, takes care of herself and usually nicely presented.
