Miss Great Britain’s fling with Teddy got her sacked
‘Miss Great Britain sacked for lying about fling with judge Teddy Sherringham.’
Danielle Lloyd, 22, won the title of Miss Great Britain in February 2006 after receiving a vote from Premiership footballer Teddy Sheringham, who was one of judges. The pair are now a couple, which they insist began on the night of the pageant.
However, in an interview with women’s magazine Eve, Miss Lloyd describes spending last Christmas with Teddy. She explains how he brought her a pair of £7000 Jimmy Choo shoes.
As a result of failure to decalre their relationship, Miss Lloyd has been stripped of the title. She had also possed for Playboy magazine which was also a breach of rules.
According to the Daily Mail, her spokeswoman said: “It is absolutely correct that Danielle met Teddy for the first time on the night of the final, and a relationship began afterwards.
“The comments about last Christmas in Eve arose from a misunderstanding about the nature of the article. Danielle did not spend last Christmas with Teddy because she did not know him then.
“However, she will not contest the decision to revoke the Miss GB title because she accepts that posing topless for Playboy was in breach of the rules.
“She felt that appearing in Playboy was simply too big an honour to turn down, and she feels that the pictures are beautiful and tasteful.
“Danielle wishes Miss Great Britain the best of luck in finding a winner for 2007.”
