Girlfriend of Arsenal player Theo Walcott, Melanie Slade is starting to enjoy the perks of being a WAG 

The starlet was brought in to the spotlight last year when boyfriend Theo Walcott was picked for the England squad, although Melanie is enjoying the perks that come along with being a footballers girlfriend she insists she’s not a typical WAG – don’t they all!

Melanie explains: “I love all this, Having my make-up done, wearing these glamorous clothes. It’s great fun. I like how different you can look at the stroke of a make-up brush. I do love dressing up.”

and adds: I don’t want to just go shopping all the time, wear designer clothes and have expensive haircuts and manicures, I do my own thing. I’m going to St George’s University in London next year to study physiotherapy.”

Melanie Slade has also spilt the beans on what she thinks about some of her fellow WAGs:

On Victoria Beckham – “Lovely and kind – she’s definetely a role model and someone to look up to.”

Cheyl Cole: “Cheryl’s very beautiful and friendly.”

and on Lampard’s fiancee Elen Rives: “She’s the funniest woman and had me in stitches. She’s always coming out with mad things and she’s really good fun.”

Seems Melanie’s learning quickly be nice about your fellow WAGs and you’ll go far!
