Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole has been dealt further anguish by another man in her life, her brother, who has been arrested for assault.

Just last week, husband Ashley was arrested following a late night dispute, now Cheryl finds that her brother Andrew Tweedy is likely to be facing a stetch behind bars.

On the 16th March, Andrew Tweedy, aged 28, assualted a man by spraying CS gas in his face and temporarily blinding him. He also admitted having on his possession an offensive weapon.

He is now due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court next month to be sentenced. However, it is ineveitable, due to previous convictions, that a jail term is on the cards

Cheryl is currently promoting her latest Girls Aloud single, having just finished a Comic Relief climb of Kilimanjaro. Maybe this latest escapade will be a bigger mountain for Cheryl to climb.
