Cassie Sumner Opens Up About her Life as a WAG

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Cassie Sumner has written her autobiography all about the ups and downs of being a WAG.

One of the stars of WAGs Boutique Cassie Sumner, has revealed how being a WAG has put her off shopping for life!!

I know tragic isn’t it, Cassie is releasing her autobiography to warn off wannabe WAGs as well as cashing in on her 5 minutes of fame, genius!

The model who use to go out with Chelsea star Michael Essien confesses to breaking down in tears in her Range Rover at the thought of going shopping.

Cassie explains: ‘I could shop whenever I wanted and spend as much as I liked – but it was no longer a thrill. It was a chore. I realised then I hated that whole world – it was so ridiculous.’

In this kiss and tell filled book, Cassie tells how she was involved in the London party scene as a naive young girl – and got so hooked on cocaine and amphetamines she was driven to the brink of suicide.

Cassie Sumner claims she was tricked into having sex for £5,000 with a wealthy businessman and reveals how she was almost raped by another in his penthouse suite.

The former WAG also reveals she had a secret abortion behind a famous lover’s back.

Cassie also talks about her fellow WAGs: ‘They spend a lot of time shopping, having beauty treatments and lunching with friends, and they’re way too competitive.’

Who knows how much of this is fact or fiction, but sounds like an interesting read. Cassie Sumner’s book Loving It is out now.

Coleen's Real Women is a Success!

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

coleen.jpgThat’s right girls unlike WAGs Boutique, Coleen’s Real Women is coming back for a second series.

It seems that we like Coleen McLoughlin on our screens because she has been commisioned for a second series on ITV2.

Coleen is over the moon about the news, she says: ‘I loved the first series and have been made up about all the successes enjoyed so far by the girls.’

Perhaps the reason for the shows success is Coleen coming across very down to earth, rather than the slightly attention seeking WAGs that were on WAGs Boutique.

Catch Coleen’s Real Women tonight, ITV2 9pm.

WAGs Boutique Axed!

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

WAGs Boutique UpdateIt’s true guy’s and gal’s, there will be no WAGs Boutique in 2008…I know it’s hard to accept!!

Apparently the WAGs have their footballer partners to blame, WAGs Boutique has been axed due to England failing to qualify in Euro 2008.

A source has said: We were told it would be commissioned again by ITV. But because the England football team failed to qualify for the Euro 2008 finals next summer, it is now off the schedule.

I’m gutted, not only was WAGs Boutique good entertainment and great fashion watch, but it also raised £450,000 for charity plus some extras from the boutiques themselves.

I don’t know about you but I plan to write a strong letter of complaint to ITV about this, who knows if we all do it, we may get it on TV again!

Jadene Bircham Reckons Roy Keane's Got It Right About WAGs

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

Another WAGs Boutique star has got involved in the Roy Keane debate

Jadene Bircham WAG of Yeovil midfielder Marc Bircham, has supported the claims made by Sunderland manager, that WAGs having the upper hand.

The WAGs Boutique star confesses she had a big say in stopping husband Marc uprooting their family to Canada or the USA this summer, when he was released by his team QPR.

Jadene says: ‘Roy has got it right, wives are having a bigger say in what the players do.”

She continues: ‘This summer we had three clubs in front of us — Toronto, LA Galaxy and Yeovil.”

Needless to say Marc is now playing for Yeovil, so the WAG got her way in the end.

However Jadene adds: ‘I do wonder how many wives would actually be with these players if they were not earning fortunes. I knew Marc when he was nobody and playing in Millwall’s youth team.’

I bet Roy didn’t think he was going to cause this much fuss!

WAGs Boutique – Final Score

WAGs Boutique Update - Episode 4This week’s episode reveals who is the winner of WAGs Boutique. The show moves out of the boutiques and into the studio as the girls join June Sarpong.

But before we find out who is the winning WAGs Boutique, there is one challenge left to win.

As the score is 5 all, both teams have everything to play for and this week’s challenge required all 10 ten WAGs to sell the remaining stock, they also had to have a WAGs’ walk-off, modelling 2 outfits each on the catwalk..

With Bows winning last week’s challenge they have a slight advantage as they have £1,000 worth of football kits to sell, which is proving to be a big hit, especially Michaela’s kit.

Meanwhile at Better Half, Jadene is so impressed with a canine customer that she phones her husband Marc to ask for a dog.

WAGs Boutique – Fashion Show

With one more chance to sell the last of their stock, the WAGs get ready for the fashion show with their mentors on hand to provide some tips for their WAG walk-off!

The girls parade themselves down the catwalk, but half way through Better Half start to play dirty and throw a banana skin on the catwalk, which backfires on them as Charlotte nearly slips on it.

Next day at the shops, the girls realise this is their last day working together as a team and most end up in tears as they close the shops for good.

WAGs Boutique – Challenge Results

Back in the studio, June reveals the results of this week’s challenge, Bows sold £22,764.88, but Better Half sell a total of £24,658.02, making them this week’s winners and adding a total of £47,422.90 to their grand total.

With this win Better Half are the leaders of the challenges with 6-5, but there are still two titles to be revealed.

WAGs Boutique – Most Popular WAG

With the challenge now out the way, it was time to reveal the viewers most popular WAG - Krystell Sidwell and she won her own column in Reveal magazine! WOW – more work!
WAGs Boutique – Winning WAGs Boutique

Now it is time to find out who has won the crown of winning boutique, with a total profit of £320,916.77 the winner is Bows.

As Bows are the winners of WAGs Boutique all the profit from both boutiques go to their charity Great Ormond Street hospital, who will receive a total of £362,529.88. Amazing!

Unfortunately, this is now the end of WAGs Boutique, well for this series anyway.

WAGs Boutique – The Football Challenge

WAGs Boutique Update - Episode 4Better Half is currently in the lead by 5 wins to 4, so the tension was high in both boutiques this week.

This week’s challenge was set by fashion editor for The Telegraph, Hilary Alexander. This week the WAGs are required to design their own football kits, which they will model and play 5-a-side football in! Watch out other half’s!!

The manager’s picked this week were Jadene for Better Half and Michaela for Bows.

WAGs Boutique – The Challenge

Jadene picks Heather and Cassie for the challenge (‘because Heather is great at design and Cassie hasn’t won a challenge.’). Michaela chooses Julie and Nicola T for Bows.

The girls go off to start designing their football kits. Cassie and Heather decide on a white kit with the Better Half logo and hot pant-style shorts. Bows select a blue strip with gold sash, draw-string bottoms and pink diamantes.

WAGs Boutique – Back at the boutiques

Manager Michaela decides to get some more stock for the Bows and makes three appointments with wholesalers. Krystell says: ‘Michaela works well when she is in charge. She’s only a problem when she isn’t the manager!’ However, later that day Michaela cuts her stock buying short and decides to go shopping instead, which doesn’t impress her employees!

Meanwhile at Better Half, manager Jadene has decided to hold a sale to try and get rid of some of their stock and raise even more money for charity.

Madeleine also gave Michaela a taste of her own medicine, as she was the one to play up this week!!

Back on the Challenge, both teams receive their kits and get to work to make them look glamourous and sexy.  Bows have a little bit of drama, as their sowing machine explodes on them, leaving them a little shaken up with Nicola saying: “Julie that could have killed you”. They do continue and finally the kits are ready.

WAGs Boutique – Bows v Better Half football match

Sunday arrives and its time to complete the challenge with a game of 5-a-side. Jadene and Julie‘s other halves, Marc Bircham and Kevin Phillips volunteer to manage the two teams. Marc sets his first rule – no lipstick until half time!

The match kicks off and Better Half is the first to score with a goal from Charlotte, but Better Half doesn’t stop there as they win by 4-0 (with Charlotte scoring 3 goals, proving she’s not just a pretty face).

As the full time whistle blows, its now time to find out this week’s winners.

Hilary Alexander provides her views on the two kits, and even though Better Half win the football game, it is Bows who impress her the most, making the score even.

Their prize is to see the Barnet Ladies FC sport the Bows’ strip. They also receive £1,000 of kit to sell in their boutique.

Now with the score 5 all and only 1 week to go, everything is to play for in WAGs Boutique.

WAGs Boutique – Episode 11

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

WAGs Boutique Update - Episode 4With only 2 more challenges to go and the score now 4 all, this week both teams have to work extra hard to try and win this challenge.

The challenge this week takes the girls aboard, but they don’t have a clue where they are going.

WAGs Boutique – The Challenge

The girls picked for the challenge this week were Jadene and Charlotte from Better Half and Krystell and Michaela and Bows.

As they arrive at Heathrow Airport their destination is revealed, and they head off to Malaga to the house of PR legend Max Clifford.

Max reveals that they will have to create their own PR stunt and make it in the papers on Sunday.

WAGs Boutique – Back at the boutiques

Back at the boutiques there is another twist for the girls as they discover they will have new managers.

Fellow WAG and glamour model Michelle Marsh is manager for Better Half and serious business woman Tamara Beckwith is manager for Bows. Will they be able to cope with girls??

Tamara tries her best to control the girls, but is left tearing her hair out at the end of the day and the situation isn’t much better at Better Half as Michelle is left to man the till by herself, so she decides to shut up shop until the girls return.

Back on the challenge, the girls are trying to put together ideas of what they can do, Better Half have an idea to chain themselves to Buckingham Palace, but decide against it as it may end up being negative PR. Charlotte then manages to rope her friend and fellow WAG Danielle Lloyd into joining them and they get into their bikinis and speak to the paparazzi, who get the photographers organised.

Krystell and Michaela decide to dress as sexy bunny girls as it was Easter and meet with a photographer from The Sun.

Next day at the boutiques Michelle decides to take the girls out for a picnic lunch leaving the shop without any staff. Julie couldn’t believe it, so goes next door to help out but ends up selling some of their stock for only £5!!

WAGs Boutique – Challenge Results

The Sunday tabloids are out and the girls rush out to get them.

Better Half’s stunt lands them the front page of The Star, but Bows are no where to be found, and they realise that setting their heart on The Sun was obviously not a good idea.

The girls then head to HQ to find out who has won this week’s challenge. The mentors reveal they were not impressed with them this week at all, Lyn was furious with Better Half and Anna said Michaela should not be part of Bows.

Max Clifford (via satellite) revealed Better Half as this week’s winners, putting them back in the lead by 5-4.

As soon as the results were revealed all hell breaks loose and ends in everyone arguing (for a change).

With only 2 weeks left, the heat is now on!!

Will Better Half win next week to make them the overall challenge winners or will Bows close the gap to make it even more intense.

WAGs Boutique – 3 weeks until the winners are revealed

WAGs Boutique Update - Episode 4With only 3 weeks to go until the winners of WAGs Boutique is declared, the score stands at 4-3 to Better Half, so Bows are feeling the pressure.

This week’s challenge was set by Kitty Klaw, an international burlesque performer. The challenge this week is – to model, perform and auction burlesque garments, watched by the prominent movers and shakers of the burlesque world. The team that makes the most profit from the auction and what they sell in their boutiques on Saturday will be the winners.

The managers picked this week are Charlotte from Better Half and Krystelle from Bows, but there is a twist.

Before the teams go off to get started, it is revealed that Lyn and Anna will actually be the managers this week and Charlotte and Krystell are the assistant managers. Leaving the girls shocked and unhappy.

The managers choose the girls for the challenge – Cassie and Jadene for Better Half and Madeleine and Michaela for Bows.

Both teams head back to the boutiques, and the mentor’s intent to restore order to the stores. Anna wants to get Bows’ customers to leave with more than one item each, whilst Lyn has a stricter regime for Better Half with penalties for the girls who fail to work hard.

The mentors also decide to stop selling the charity tops in store and turn the stores into fashion boutiques again (charity items can still be purchased online from 13th April – click here).

WAGs Boutique – Preparing for the challenge

Michaela and Cassie get into their costumes, while Madeleine and Jadene watch trying not to laugh. The girls only have a short time to learn their routines, so they have to concentrate, which is usually quite difficult for Michaela!!

Once the girls are ready they head for the stage, Bows go first and Michaela starts her performance while Madeleine leads the auction, the bidding is slow and the girls have to work hard to sell their costume.

Cassie then performs with Jadene running the auction, they seem to have more success and win the first part of the challenge.

However, there are still more items to sell in the boutiques on Saturday.

WAGs Boutique – Back at the boutiques

Lyn is having trouble at Better Half and struggles to control Cassie and Charlotte as they disappear into Bows. Lyn threatens to close the store if they don’t return.

Anna feels sorry for Lyn, so sends the girls back to their boutiques.

WAGs Boutique
– Challenge Results

The girls arrive at head quarters to find out this week’s results. The mentors give their feedback, and as you would expect Lyn wasn’t too impressed by Better Half’s behaviour. But, Anna is delighted and says how fantastic her team is.

Kitty Klaw reveals the profits of the auction and sales in the boutiques and declares Bows as this week’s winners. Making the score now 4-4.

June also reveals that there is no manager’s vote next week and the mentors are asked to pick two girls from each team to do next week’s challenge.

Charlotte and Jadene are picked for Better Half and Krystelle and Michaela for Bows. They are also told they will need their passports.

WAGs Boutique – Episode 9

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

WAGs Boutique Update - Episode 4With the score 4-2 to Better Half and only 5 challenges remaining this week’s challenge is more crucial than ever.

This week’s challenge is to sell a range of Isabella Oliver maternity wear for just one day.

The manager’s chosen this week are Jadene (Better Half) and Nicola T (Bows), but there is a twist for the manager’s, they will be swapping shops and managing their rival boutique!

The managers can’t nominate themselves for the challenges this week. So, for Bows, the challengers are Julie and Krystell and for Better Half, Elle and Heather.

Off the girls go to get started.

Both teams select 100 pieces of clothing, the challenge then gets a little harder as the girls get a spot on the shopping channel QVC.

WAGs Boutique
– Back at the boutiques

Charlotte from Better Half is absent due to illness, so Better Half are struggling with only Nicola and Cassie to man the shop, but manager Nicola makes it more interesting by throwing a pyjama party!

Meanwhile at Bows, Jadene is trying to control Michaela and sends her out to amuse the queues, for a short while this seems to work and keeps her in one place, but not for long. She escapes and joins the pyjama party next door.

Jadene then discovers mouse droppings in Bows and traces the source to Michaela’s half eaten food left lying in the stock room.

The girl’s on the challenge don’t seem to be having much success and are really struggling to find customers for their maternity range.

WAGs Boutique – Challenge Results

With the challenge drawing to a close, the girl’s head off to head quarter’s to find out the results.

With Better Half in the lead, Bows are hoping to be crowned winners this week.

The results are revealed and Bows win the challenge, making the score 4-3 to Better Half.
