Great news as it really has been the girls year…Lets just hope they actually win an award this time they really deserve it!

Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh represented Girls Aloud at the Brits launch party last night and went very retro with their fashion.

Cheryl looked super cool wearing a cropped t-shirt with a white skirt, which revealed just enough midrift and a pair of zebra print heels.

Kimberley also went for an eighties inspired look wearing a pink and black shift dress. Which suggests the eighties is coming back in 2009, lets just hope it’s minus the shell suits hey!!

Can’t wait to see what the girls decide to wear, especially Cheryl she always pulls it out of the bag, remember the yellow dress from last year!

The other main nominees include Coldplay, Duffy, Estelle and The Ting Tings.

An article released in the Daily Mail today reveals that Jason Bell wasn’t yet divorced when he started dating Nadine and that he has a violent past.

Oh deary me, Nadine Coyle really knows how to pick’em doesn’t she.

I think before starting to slate Bell, it’s important to say that not everything in The Mail is always completely true.

And in actual fact the article says that the American footballer’s divorce was finalised weeks after he started dating Nadine. So he was divorcing and as we know the process can take a long time, not really that bad.

Plus Bell’s ex has been bad mouthing her former hubby in the paper, great opportunity for some press and cash, hey girl. Nobody likes a woman with a bad case of sour grapes!

It has also been alleged that Jason attacked two men in the past, who he has had to pay off in court.

His former wife Kimberley says: ’He was involved in two fights which resulted in lawsuits being filed.’

‘One was with a fellow teammate who later retained an attorney. As a result, a settlement of $75,000 plus attorney fees was reached between him and the gentleman he assaulted.’

Despite all this I reckon Jason seems alright and Nadine is certainly not silly, but time will tell!

In an interview for the Evening Standard Cheryl Cole opens up about the abusive relationship she was in before Girls Aloud and her desire to perform.

‘The Mother’ of Girls Aloud as she describes herself has had a lot to deal with in the last year including affair allegations, stories about her family, not to mention being part of a very successful T.V programme.

So it’s fair to say that Cheryl Cole who was brought up on a council estate in Newcastle has come along way. But being the Geordie lass she is, has only positive things to say about where she grew up.

Of Newcastle she says: ‘I love it when I go back there, I wind down the windows because there’s a certain smell and it’s the only place in the world that gives me that special feeling.’

Cheryl is the youngest of five and is very close to her Mum, but a couple of her siblings have had a tough time with the press recently and have been less than supportive of her career. One of her brother’s has been in court over 50 times and her sister has been labeled a chav and often compared to her.

But again Cheryl doesn’t slate her family: ‘Me oldest brother, Joe, has got five kids, which is amazing, and he works at Nissan. Me sister Gillian has just had her second baby. Andrew is the next one, and me younger brother Gary has just left university and is the most adorable human being on this planet.’

Cheryl famously won her place in the group Girls Aloud back in 2002, resulting in her achieving her ambition of performing, she explains ‘It was never, ever about being famous. I hear kids saying they want to be famous and I think, “You really don’t.” ‘ - This statement obviously comes from personal experience, Cheryl has definitely had the hardest time with the press.

The singer then goes on to talk about the abusive boyfriend she had in her teens, saying: ‘It was abusive and he was taking drugs and I wasn’t very well. I was depressed and poorly for two years; really poorly mentally. I would wake up in the middle of the night and he’d be gone and every time you got a phone call you didn’t know where he was going to be. I had to end it for my health. It was like a weird wave of strength.’

Wow Chezza’s really been through the mill hasn’t she, but has definitely turned it around for the better!!

Cheryl Cole gets back to her feisty self in the new Vogue interview and reveals that she is in fact very funny about her weight!

As well as looking immaculate. The one thing you can almost guarantee with Cheryl Cole is that you’re going to get a very interesting read, which with the price of Vogue is a good thing!

Cheryl starts of by saying that she does have some issue with her weight, which is pretty obvious.

In her early days of Girls Aloud she had a not so horrific experience with a pair of jeans, she says:

‘I remember being in Selfridges and taking these size 28s into the changing room and not being able to get them on, and then getting on the scales and crying because I was nine and a half stone. Nine and a half stone when I’m only 5ft 3in.’

- Ok so let’s get some perspective, 28s is small and the 29s that Cheryl got in to are also small. But to be fair we’ve all had times when the jeans don’t fit it’s not a good feeling!

Cheryl goes on to say: ‘Jennifer Aniston was doing something called the Atkins Diet at the time and I thought I’d give it a try.’

‘The record company had just moved us into this hotel called K West and I remember I ate the same thing from room service – chicken in cream sauce with a couple of carrots – every night, for weeks, and I just felt horrible. But I was on this mission.’

I suppose hanging round with the likes of Victoria Beckham wouldn’t have helped matters, speaking of which she also has a go at Victoria for not contacting her during the cheating saga.

She says: ‘She (Victoria) was in my hotel room during the World Cup – we’ve had barbecues together -so I was quite shocked by that. I mean, David’s mum is friends with Ashley’s mum.’

It is a bit out of order, but are you really suprised the woman walks around like a robot and doesn’t really do close girlfriends as she has admitted herself in the past.

In the interview Cheryl Cole also says Peaches Geldof is ‘up herself’ (probably true) and Alexa Chung ‘acts superior’.

Nadine Coyle spent New Year’s in a hot Miami instead of quite literally freezing in the UK, now why didn’t I think of that?!

The popstar who is currently dating American footballer Jason Bell, looked fabulous in a black bikini joking around with her hunky man.

At just 23, Nadine Coyle has a home in the States, is opening an Irish themed pub in LA with her family and is a member of the most successful girl group in the UK.

No need to be jealous folks at least she hasn’t got a gorgeous rich footballer to cuddle up to… Oh wait she has!! Oops sorry, perhaps it’s ok to be a little envious, I am!

CHERYL COLE portrayed as the Angel of the North?!

Yep that’s right the artist Lee Jones has painted Cheryl Cole as the famous statue, where she appears to be crying and dabbing her eyes with a handkerchief.

An image of Cheryl we have seen a lot in her role as X Factor judge.

Lee Jones said: ‘As a Liverpudlian artist, I feel the overwhelming warmth of the Northern people towards Cheryl Cole.’

‘I see her as a new icon of popular culture for the 21st Century, a beacon of light in these bleak times.’

He added: ‘A fine example of a Northern lass making good.’

T’is true, Cheryl has made it very hard not to liking her this year, the only beef I have is how thin she’s has got.

When asking my Grandad what he thought of Cheryl Cole, he replied ‘she’s lovely, but a bit skinny!’ – Yes Gramps she is, there you have it Chezza a word from the wise, so start getting those mince pies down you this Christmas!

It looks like after a few lows this year, Cheryl Cole is going to end 2008 on a very big high and it doesn’t look like she could be happier if she tried.

With a job of her dreams on The X Factor, a number one single, book, marriage back on track and the fact that she is stunningly beautiful…. Yeh looks like we’d all like a taste of Cheryl’s A-star life!

Britain’s favourite ladies, Girls Aloud filmed their Christmas special last night and it looks brill!

The girls looked super glam wearing various outfits including silver fishtail dresses, black tutus and pretty pink dresses.

There are set to be appearances from James Morrison, Kaiser Chiefs and Paul O’Grady?!!

Sarah Harding told the audience: ’2008 has been a great year for us all and what better way to round it off than with a festive special.’

‘The show is a true Girls Aloud Christmas party and loads of fun.’

So girly, so christmassy, I can’t wait!!!!!!

The Girls Aloud Party is to be aired on ITV1 on Saturday 13th December, the same evening as The X Factor Final no less.

Our favourite WAG Cheryl Cole is fast becoming the queen of Saturday night entertainment!

Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding celebrated their 27th birthdays on Saturday night with a bit of party.

All the Girls Alouders were out apart from Cheryl Cole who was judging this little singing contest on ITV.

The girls celebrated in style by partying in Camden and getting a wee bit tipsy.

I had a few choices of Girls Aloud pictures for this blog, I could have used Nadine Coyle in current WAG status with American footballer Jason Bell. Or Kimberley Walsh looking gorgeous in a fab pink dress or even Sarah Harding simply because it was her birthday.

But no instead I have opted to share a rare moment with you all, which as you can see is Nicola Roberts smiling. And not just an awkward fake smile, but a full on ecstatic (possibly drunk) laugh.

There could be another reason for Nicola’s happiness though, in form of a new man. Yes the Girls Aloud singer was spotted attending the birthday bash with a very cute new fella, no idea who he is yet, but we hope to find out soon.

Isn’t it lovely to see her smile for once, keep it up Nic!

Well if pictures released last night are anything to go by, it would appear so, Cheryl Cole looked very distressed whilst on the phone and didn’t appear to be wearing any make-up.

It could be than Chezza was talking to a distressed Laura White, who was so unjustly voted of the talent contest on Saturday.

It’s obvious Cheryl has got very close to her X Factor contestants and is bound to be upset about Laura going, maybe she could take a lesson from Simon and Louis on how to be emotionless!

Laura was voted of The X Factor, after being in the bottom two with Spanish born singer Ruth Lorenzo, who was in fairness, flippin good in the sing off.

Cheryl Cole still has two contestants Alexandra Burke aka my fav and Diana Vickers who didn’t sing on Saturday, due to illness.
